Well, let's put it this way...it couldn't have gone any better :)
Our Dr. told us today would be the very first day we'd see a gestational sac and yolk sac...so, not to worry if we didn't, he'd just have me back in a few days...
Well sure enough they were both there, CLEAR AS DAY. We have never had such a positive ultrasound before. All the others were, "well, I THINK I see a yolk sac", etc...so we are completely thrilled :)
He also told us that I'm exactly 5 weeks today. I thought I was a little further along, but whatever. I'm just happy we came home with 2 ultrasound pictures!
My bloodwork results should be in around noon. Fingers crossed that my levels are still going strong...
So, providing all goes well with the bloodwork, we go back in one week from today for another ultrasound and bloodwork.
We know that we still have a few more hurdles to get over, but this is HUGE for us. One day at a time...that's what I keep saying (at 3am when I wake up to pee then can't get back to sleep because I'm a bundle of nerves).
